Types of Divorce

Divorces generally fall into two main categories:

Non-Contested (Irreconcilable Differences or No Fault):This is typically the simplest and most affordable type of divorce.

Both parties must fully agree on the division of financial assets, properties, and, if applicable, custody and obligations related to children. It requires open communication and consensus, making it smoother and less time-consuming.

Contested (Fault-Based) Divorce: In this type of divorce, one party files based on specific grounds for divorce, such as adultery. This process is often more complex and costly due to the potential for disputes, court proceedings, and possibly even multiple hearings.
